Offensive subjects within the canon of Game of Thrones (HBO)

Game of Thrones is a period piece set in the fictional land of Westeros focusing on many families and warring factions therein.

It has subject matter such as excessive and gratuitous violence, violence and trauma connected to racism and racial conflict, racial slurs, ableism, depiction of pornography (including child pornography), incest (including all elements of romantic or sexual relationships between family, tonal in theme, thought, or activity), kidnapping (forceful deprivation of/disregard for personal autonomy), death/dying, pregnancy or childbirth, and the subjugation and ownership of women as well as the misogyny inherent to the period and world as a whole. It also deals with rape, miscarriage, child abandonment, animal abuse/violence, and more.

Game of Thrones is rife with triggers and Oberyn's story is built around vengeance for his sister who was raped and killed, as well as her children, and his desire to seek justice for her.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS APPEARANCE: 6'0 lean but sinewy with sun-kissed skin, brown locks of hair curly and unkempt but cut short, and hazel eyes. He keeps a well-groomed beard and sports the various healed-over scars of a man in his station. CLOTHING: his colors of orange, gold, yellow and red, aside, he'll wear whatever is available to him or nothing at all, clothes don't make the man. DEMEANOR: Forceful and proud, Oberyn speaks with a barbed tongue and swift wit. He carries himself much the same in posture, with little regard for how it might make others feel. AURAL: example; ambiguous accent that has a Spanish lilt because *gestures* well spoken, direct, deep, but not necessarily boastful. Calm, just before the strike. OLFACTORY: Like wine, incense, oils, smoke, leathers, and spice, tonka bean, vanilla, almond, tobacco, citrus, soft musk, and florals.
